The Young Health Programme (YHP) is an initiative of AstraZeneca that welcomes applications from young leaders from all around the world who want to work for health equity and climate change. The Impact Fellowship is conducted in collaboration with AstraZeneca’s Young Health Programme which forms an integral part of AstraZeneca’s sustainability initiative, mainly in healthcare. Each year, this health fellowship selects aspiring leaders who strive to enhance equitable health outcomes by improving access to healthcare, strengthening health systems, addressing climate-health issues, and nurturing the next generation of health advocates. In addition, since 2016, AstraZeneca through its YHP, has joined forces with One Young World (OYW) to recognize and support young leaders who are working for improving youth health within their communities. Similarly, the Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship offers fellows the chance to participate in the OYW Summit 2025 in Germany for free. Therefore, YHP fellows benefit greatly by applying for the YHP Impact Fellowship Programme in 2025. The One Young World Summit is a great platform for young people to turn their plans into actions and get training from AstraZeneca’s Fellowship. The YHP Fellowship Program is a comprehensive training program. It combines research and advocacy, community programs and supports the development of young leaders. Eligibility Criteria :
Are you a passionate young leader working towards a healthier future or youth? If yes, you must apply for the AstraZeneca Young Health Programme Fellowship. Before you do, go through the eligibility criteria for this fellowship in Germany.
Eligibility Criteria for Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship 2025:
Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old to be eligible for the AstraZeneca fellowship.
The YHP fellowship is open to citizens of all countries from around the world.
While most delegates fall within the 18-30 age range, the selection committee may consider applications from individuals over 30, if they demonstrate personal impact and a willingness to engage.
Moreover, proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, is a requirement.
Fellows must be able to fully participate in the One Young World Summit (OYW) that will take place between 02-07 November 2025 in Munich, Germany.
Selected applicants must also actively engage in both the YHP Impact Fellowship and Failure to do so may end the fellowship benefits.
In addition, YHP Fellows should be willing to share insights and collaborate on action commitments, build partnerships, and serve as ambassadors for AstraZeneca’s health equity and YHP initiatives as appropriate.
To be eligible for the Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship, access to the internet and a compatible device is necessary to participate in live online fellowship sessions.
Applicant must be a founder or leader of any registered non-profit organization that meets the specific criteria:
Must be registered and operational for at least 3 years.
To receive a $10,000 grant, the income in the last financial year should be more than USD$10,000 and less than USD$1,000,000.
To receive a $50,000 grant, the income in the last financial year should be more than USD$100,000 and less than USD$2,000,000.
Organizations must be ‘funding ready’ which means they must be able to provide appropriate documentation.
It must be operating in any underserved community.
Applicant must propose a 6 to 12 months project.

Benefits of YHP Impact Fellowship Programme 2025:
YHP Fellows will get access to the AstraZeneca Young Health Programme (YHP) Impact Fellowship, offering a blend of live and self-paced learning opportunities throughout the year to support Fellows in expanding their impact.
This program includes participation in an online mini-MBA program accredited by a university, with 12 months of access to materials and additional opportunities for development.
Selected fellow will get a grant of either US $10,000 or US $50,000 (if they will be selected as the Lead2030 Challenge winner for SDG3) from AstraZeneca, through their non-profit organization.
Fellows will receive complete access as delegates to attend the One Young World Summit 2025 in Germany.
They will also receive round-trip air travel from their home country to Munich, with flights arranged by the OYW delegate services team (economy class only).
Moreover, the fellowship also covers accommodation in Germany, with shared hotel rooms.
It also includes catering services, including dinner on 02 November and breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 03 to 06 November, as well as breakfast on 07 November
The program will also provide reimbursement of travel expenses used while travelling to and from Munich (maximum of £250).
Reimbursement of the German visitor visa application fee, approximately £75, if applicable.
It covers transportation from the airport to the hotel by public transport upon arrival.
